Zagreb

Arrived in Zagreb with no issues, total delay 30 minutes, hardly worth the mention.

Got a cab from the airport to the hotel. The fare was 458 Kuna, go figure. I'm still trying to work out the exchange. The driver was very friendly, giving us some tips on what to do and see while in Zagreb.

The hotel Palace is very nice, room is just right for the two of us. The train station is to the right of us and the square is to the left. A very good location come to think of it.

We decided to go for a walk to what is referred as the square. The square is a bunch of restraunts, bars, cafes where people congregate to socialize. We sat by one cafe call the Bulldog and did the people watching thing. The night was warm with a slight breeze just enough to make comfortable.

Well we slept in a bit, got up around 3ish. Missed the free buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today we have to figure out whether we catch the train or rent a car to Split.

Travel and Accomodation Itinerary

Going there: Condor on the 12th of September 17:55.
Flight DE 1071 to  Frankfurt with a 5 hour wait.
Then OU 411 at 18:00 to Zagreb, arriving at 19:20.
Total flying time 11 hrs 35 mins.

 * the Palace Hotel in Zagreb night of the 13th and 14th.

On the 15th going by train from Zageb to Split.
Staying at:
 * Private apartment in Split.

Coming back: Condor on the 8th of October 9:05.
Flight OU 416 from Zagreb to Frankfurt with a 4 hour wait.
Then DE 6070 at 14:45 to Vancouver, arriving 16:20.
Total flying time 12 hrs 5 mins.
